Jantzen

Jantz is the light of our home right now.
He makes everyone laugh with his jokes
or his tricks or just something funny. He
talks 24/7. I can back this statement
with
signatures! He talks all day everyday
about anything and everything. He has a
lot of anxiety so he asks a million questions
which is kinda cute at times. He is the baby
of the family and therefore receives plenty
of attention. He likes to tell knock knock jokes
which never make sense and he LOVES being
active. He can ride a bike with training wheels,
he cruises on his scooter and does a great job
at basketball and baseball. He is still THICK as
could be (he takes after me). He still loves cars
and trucks, and anything the big kids do. He is
totally addicted to his "muffin" - grandma gibson.
He makes up all sorts of nicknames. He hasn't
called me mom in months. Recently he has called
me conch, momjohns, kotch, monge. I don't know
where they come from. We love his little personality,
he is just a lot of fun.

He loves to help me out in the kitchen. In
fact, he is always by my side wherever I am
in the house.

He LOVES his kitties. They run from him when the
hear him coming. Now, they have gotten so big they
just drop to the floor when he comes around because
they know they are too heavy for him to lift them and
cart them around. It is hilarious!

Jantz loves to play outside! He will ride
everything like crazy. He does the best,
quickest "fred flinstone" on this motorcycle
that you have ever seen.

Jantzen also had a birthday on May 10th.
He turned 3 years old. He had a Shrek the
third birthday party. His birthday was the
highlight of conversation for the rest of the
month. He got a new 2 wheel bike which he
loves and a junior basketball hoop to name
a few.

Abby

Abby has had an eventful last couple of
months reaching several "FIRSTS"

Her 5th birthday marked our first birthday party
since moving to Utah. It was also her first princess
party, with her first princess cake. You all know I do
NOT bake birthday cakes. I was a little nervous when
this request was made. This cake was not made by
me - of course, but by Becky Eriksson. The cake turned
out awesome and fit for a Princess. Thanks for bailing
me out of that one!

Abby also broke her arm for the first time.
This is the first broken arm in the family, but
I am sure it won't be our last. I just figured it
would be one of the boys snagging the honor first.
I guess Jantzen was involved. He was the one
who caused the accident by swinging a stick that
hit her arm causing her to fall from the bar she
was swinging on and land on the slate flooring
below. She told me that she had broken her arm
but I couldn't see any protruding bones or swelling
and she could move it without pain. It was about 24
hours later when she tried to do a cartwheel on the
trampoline that we realized it was truly broken. She
just started her new gymnastics class only 5 days before.
She ended up breaking her wrist. Jantzen felt awful
about the accident. We are now teaching him to swing
away from people! Here is a picture of phase 1 of the
accident with a purple cast. She did not like the attention
that came with it, so she hid her arm under her shirts when
we went anywhere. She never wanted anyone to ask about
it, and she would hide from people anytime she could.

This is phase 2 of the broken arm - note
the fluorescent pink cast. She loved it!
And she loved to acessorise with it to
match all of her outfits. Still, she hid it from
everyone.

Abby graduated from her first year of preschool!
She went to Sam Morgan Elementary School. Here
she is with her teacher Miss Deana and Miss Julie
in the background. She loved it! She learned alot,
her teachers were incredible and it ended up being
a great opportunity for her to break out of her shell.

Josh

Here are a few of his favorite things:

He received an ant farm for his Christmas. It took
3 1/2 months for our ants to arrive but when they
finally did we were all fascinated with their work.
Josh did NOT want to throw it away even once all
of the ants had died. We told him that we would
take a picture so he could always remember them.

Josh has a passion for basketball. He plays hours
of it at school, at home and at his friends house.
His favorite player is T-Mac from the Houston
Rockets. He is trying to earn a jersey by finishing
out his school year with a straight A report card.
He has 4 weeks left!

Always the life of the party - here he is wearing
the Grilzz that Jantzen received for his birthday.

St George

In February we went to St. George with some
friends for the Presidents Day holiday. We had
a lot of fun hiking and swimming and enjoying
the sunshine and good weather.
