Rewind
February through May 2007

So, I haven't been so good with the updates lately.
Here are some pictures to get me back on target.
There have been a lot of events in our family over
the past few months, everybody has been busy
with all sorts of activities. We hope you enjoy the
pictures. We would love to know how everyone is
doing so please post us a comment or send us some
pictures.

February 2007
St George

In February we went to St. George with some
friends for the Presidents Day holiday. We had
a lot of fun hiking and swimming and enjoying
the sunshine and good weather.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
December 2006

We hope everyone had a fabulous holiday. We miss
those of you who are far away and appreciate all
the christmas photos and greeting cards that were
sent to our family. We absolutely loved to see all
of the pictures! Thank you for thinking about us.
We feel very blessed to have such great friends
and family both here in Utah and back in Arizona.
May this season bring all the best to you and your family.

December 2006

Josh has been off track since November
21st so you can imagine what fun it has
been to have him home for such a long
break! We have been able to do a lot of
fun christmas activities. We have made
christmas cookies on several different
occasions, sugar and gingerbread! We
have made gingerbread houses and visited
every lighting extravaganza or christmas
tree festival within 50 miles!

Late November 2006

We took the kids hiking before the
weather became too unbearable. We
went to Adams Canyon about 5 minutes
away from our house. The kids had a
great time exploring. Although we
went after the leaves had already turned
colors and fallen off the trees, it was still
absolutely beautiful. It has been fun to
experience the seasons again, and fall
just happens to be my favorite.

New Editions to the Family

Here are the two newest members of our
family...Rusty and Rufus. We rescued them
from the local shelter in November. The kids
were begging for a pet but we weren't sure
they were ready for the responsibility that
owning a pet brings. So...we decided to start
out small with an animal that takes pretty
good care of itself. The kids are loving it!
Jantzen absolutely adores the kitties. He
talks to them like they are people and
carries them in the football hold all
throughout the house.

Abby learned to ride a bike this past
month. It only took a few minutes and
she took off on her own. She is feeling
really empowered all of a sudden to do
everything by herself. Going to school
has given her a lot of confidence to try
things she normally would shy away from.

Abby Preschool
October 2006

This month was really busy for us.
We moved into our first permanent
spot since the move to Utah.
We are renting a patio home in
east Kaysville and building a home
in west Kaysville. Josh started back
where he left off in the first grade at
Heritage Elementary. Abby also
started school. This is her first year
of preschool. She goes to Sam Morgan
Elementary just up the road from our
rental. She LOVES it. She has become
so independent and so empowered all of
a sudden to take charge and take control.

Abby on her first day of preschool.

Not to be outdone...This is Jantz on Abby's
first day of preschool.

Trick or Treating
Halloween 2006

Abby, Jantz, Josh and Ryan Ericksson

Jantz hung in there for one street and
then called it good. He was much more
interested in seeing what was going
into the bag he was carrying.

The rest of the night he was focused
on getting out, whatever went in.

Carving Pumpkins
October 30th 2006

The finished product.

Games

The kids made some scary bean bags
and a couple of cardboard cut-outs for
a halloween bean bag toss.

Then we had a jelly bean spit and a donut
eating contest.

Heat 2

Jantzen cheated, but he's two so how can we
hold it against him.

The kids picked their favorite pumpkins.
Among the pumpkin winners were Brandon
Simonsen with the spider pumpkin, Aunt Bax
and Uncle Glen with the ghost pumpkin as well
as Grandpa Mac with the ride to spookeyville pumpkin.

1st Annual Donahoe Family
Halloween Party!

We had our first ever Donahoe family halloween
party on October 29th. It turned out fabulous!
The kids planned some games and we had a
costume and carving/painting pumpkin contest.
We were so impressed with all of the pumpkin
entries and especially the costumes! We think
everybody had a really good time.

Uncle Sam is a skeleton groom and
Aunt Mel is a witch with "yoda" who could
not find his mask at the time of this picture.

Grandma and Grandpa Gibson were hockey
players. The costume inspiration must have
come from Grandpa's recent conversation with
Wayne Gretsky on his trip to Phoenix just days
before the party. Hailee is just ducky with Abby
the spider witch and Jantz the monster. Also,
Josh, without the mask and yoda with the mask
(see picture below with Grandpa Dave.)
